Women and Minorities-Addressing Climate-Smart Solutions (ACS2) is an innovative research, outreach, and mentoring partnership between UC Davis and Butte College.

We believe that an understanding of emerging and future ag careers focused on creating climate-smart solutions is essential if rural students are to participate in the new Agri-tech economy. Students from Butte College accepted into the ACS2 program will:
- engage in summer research mentored by UC Davis faculty in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences,
- join scholars from other summer programs in residence at UC Davis,
- present their work in a community workshop near Butte College at the end of the summer.
ACS2 scholars also will receive a $5,000 stipend for the eight-week program.
